Advisory Council

The Advisory Council advises the Control Officer and Board of Directors on air pollution matters.  Per RCW 70.94.240, an air pollution advisory council shall consist of at least five appointed members who are residents of the authority (in this case, incorporated and unincorporated areas of Spokane County) and who are preferably skilled and experienced in field of air pollution control, chemistry, fire protection, public health, or a related field, at least one of whom shall serve as a representative of industry and one of whom shall serve as a representative of the environmental community.

Advisory Council appointments and meeting times
Advisory Council appointments are made by the Board of Directors. Unless otherwise publicized, the Council meets the fourth Thursday of each month from  8-9 a.m., at the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency's office, 3104 E. Augusta Ave (near the NW corner of Mission/Greene.)  Advisory Council meetings are open to the public.
