Business Recognition

Spokane Clean Air is proud to recognize businesses in Spokane County that are working to reduce emissions and improve air quality in our communities.  We provide two recognition programs:

Clean Air Award, presented annually to a company that has consistently demonstrated a commitment to reduce air emissions. 

The 2010 Award Recipient is Fiber-Tech Industries.
Past award recipients include:

Doing our Share for Clean Air, an every-other-year recognition program for registered facilities that submit the form and meet the minimum criteria. This program is described in greater detail below. Click here to view the 2009-2010 recipients.

Your businesses can help reduce air pollution by complying with air quality requirements, which benefits everyone in our community.  The “Doing Our Share for Clean Air” program recognizes businesses that apply for and meet the minimum program criteria. 

Every-other-year, you should receive a Business Recognition Form with your Annual Registration Mailing. The current cycle ended in August 2009. The 2011-2012 recognition cycle will begin in November 2010. If you do not receive a form with your annual registration mailing, please contact us and we'll send it to you.

There are two levels of criteria and recognition. 

Level 1 – Silver

Criteria for natural minor sources (which includes most businesses registered with Spokane Clean Air, i.e. gas stations, surface coaters, dry cleaners, etc.):

 Criteria for Air Operating Permit sources and Synthetic Minor sources:

When a business submits the recognition form and meets the above criteria, they receive a window decal and listing in our Compliance Assistance Program Update newsletter.

Level 2 – Gold
Criteria:

When a business submits the recognition form and meets the above criteria, they receive a window decal, a list in our Compliance Assistance Program Update newsletter, a certificate presented at our Board of Director's meeting, and other publicity per budget.

How can your business participate in the “Doing Our Share for Cleaner Air” business recognition program? 

It’s easy! Complete the registration form that will be included with your Annual Registration mailing.  This is an every-other-year program, so the next opportunity will begin with the next registration cycle - November 2010.
