Education is a priority at Spokane Clean Air because we believe educating our future generations is the key to protecting air quality.
School and Educator Resources Spokane Clean Air has staff available to engage your students in hands-on learning activities. To schedule a class presentation, contact Margee at (509) 477-4727 ext. 114, or email mchambers@spokanecleanair.org. Schools may also wish to take advantage of these outstanding programs and materials:

The No-Idle Zone program is about improving air quality around your school. Join over 35 other area schools that are participating in this nationally-recognized program. Complimentary materials are provided, including two street-grade signs, parent packets and keyrings.

Spokane Youth Environmental Conference is a one day event for 7-12th grade students in Spokane County. The conference promotes environmental science by providing a forum for students to showcase their environmental science project.

Washington Green Schools is a unique program that provides tools to help schools assess their environmental impacts and programs to reduce those impacts and save money.

Scouting Resources Spokane Clean Air is available to work with scouting, campfire and other groups within Spokane County. We have lesson plans with hands-on activities that tie-in with various badge requirements. Presentations are available for troops within Spokane County (15 person minimum participation.) Call (509) 477-4727 ext. 114, or email mchambers@spokanecleanair.org to discuss and schedule a program.
Community Resources and Materials There are a variety of resources available to anyone who wants to learn about air, including kids, parents, educators, and groups.
- All About Air is a fun way to learn more about the air you breathe and what you can do to help keep it clean.
- EnviroKids' Club is open to K-6 grade/school-aged children residing in Spokane County. Membership is free and includes a quarterly newsletter full of information and activities and invitations to local environmental/outdoor activities. Members can earn points to "purchase" special prizes.

- Air: The search for one clean breath is an award-winning film about the origins of air and air pollution, produced by the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District with funding from the EPA. DVDs are available for interested residents, educators, clubs and organizations. Email lwoodard@spokanecleanair.org to order your copy.
